....please, please not another Barklay thread. I'm fed up with over 200 pages on the other one. Somebody on the 'Committee' please obliterate this one. I want a Braklay free site!!

If you can't be arsed to fight for a premiership 1st team position when your a kid, then you'll never make it as a premiership player later on.

When it's a case of the player getting a taste then get brought back down for 2 seasons with no sign of it changing... Then yeah, they'll get fed up.

From the outside looking in players like Barkley and Vellios seemed to not have improved to get a chance in the first team. Or it could be down to the fact the manager won't play them and they know it, no matter how hard they try.

I'm not! I want to know what's going on with Barkley - and Vellios.

At the start of last season we were talking about Chelsea taking Barkley away for 30 million. Two games later Moyes banished him forever, it seems. Why? What's happened? It can't be just being a poor trainer, surely.

Barkley - gives penalty away against Blackburn. Banished from the 1st team opportunities for 2 seasons.

Vellios - scores 4 prem goals, doesn't set the world on fire for 90mins. Banished from 1st team opportunities for 2 seasons.

United had the problem with a few of their youngsters like Pogba when they didn't see any window to prove themselves for the 1st team, so moved on.

Some of ours might be seeing it the same way, knowing whatever they do, they're not gonna get a consistent run out, so can't be arsed.

Remember the young centre half defender Clarke i think , got out jumped or missed timed the flight of a cross/corner at blackburn scored from a game lost in 2003/4 ish , He must of got the blame anyway as never seen or heard of him again... But back to now and favourites being allowed to make mistakes time and again and get away with it or struggle to even run properly due to being well past there sell by date, with regards to Barkley and his he this or that ?? and all the training ground bollox and what seems punishment routines or your face dont fit , just get him on the pitch in some capacity preferably in home games, and slowly establish him then take it from there , not rocket science like

.

Peter Clarke?

He has had a very good career in the lower leagues - currently Huddersfield captain and was League 1 player of the year.

However Moyes has been more than vindicated in letting him go as he has never shown any sign of being good enough to play for a top 6 Premier league team.

Yes peter clarke , so one mistake and thats that ok fair enough , like for me and only for Moyes Really liking him and his face fitting etc i think tony Hilbbert would of probably ended up good steady lower league player and quite easily as like other dare i say more talented youngsters that even fell out of football, So im not really up on the vindication theme. Its not always about ability, does your face fit does the manger fancy you as a player etc (not in that way of course :))

Perhaps that was the problem, just assuming someone is world class and worth 30 mil, doesn't make it so.

does barkley come accross as that player or is he the player that tries hard for a couple of weeks trying to catch the managers eye, then is demoted to the reserves and then just cant be bothered after that

No idea I don't know him personally and haven't seen enough on the pitch to judge.

What utter tosh....he's supporting Moyes approach and advising the boy himself that he needs to push on.
