Arteta's Set Piece Delivery

It seems that pretty much everyone can see it apart from Moyses. I cant blame Arteta himself for wanting to take them but surely as the manager he can see Mikels delivery is bloody awful most of the time and get someone else to take them?

How long do you persist with Arteta making a hash of them, its been pretty much all season. Of course the problem is that we know he has the skill to knock in an inch perfect pass and he cant do that if he doesn't take any free kicks or corners but its just getting so frustrating now.

Which is exactly the reason Moyes won't take him off the dead ball duties. You never know when that sweet delivery will turn up. Although, I am sure when it does, our players won't know what to do with it, it has been so long :P

He got abit of stick from the Park End and reacted yesterday.

I'm sure him himself know's he hasnt been in the best of form, but he hasn't been awful like some people say.

He just has been average, maybe even below average for someone of his ability.

But how long should he carry on being pants until someone else has a go? Birmingham? Newcastle? Next year?

Its not like he is our only choice either.

Just as long as The Yak aint on the end of a pin point delivary in front of goal we will be alright lol.

He needs to take a break from the set pieces. Theres no doubting he's been gash for a while, luckily Pienaar has helped him get away with it by doing the creative [Poor language removed].

Anyone shouting [Poor language removed] at him needs to take a look at themselves however, he'll be the tits again next season.

He's terrible on free kicks shooting on goal (maybe 2-3 free kick goals in his career I think). I still think his corners are ace however is free kicks haven't been up to par. Plus without Cahill (who always seems to get a head on the ball on corners) I think our vertically challanged squad (heading the ball isn't a Yak speciality and teams are stacking up on Lescott) has trouble getting a head on the ball.

I honestly think he's just been hurt and is running on fumes trying to make it through a match heavy season.

Just heard mikel has been sold 15 mill was mentioned

Dont just turn up an start talking bollox, 1st you cant sell yet you bad melt. 2nd were did you get this from..........tribal football?? sportingo??

Pleses turn it in,an dont bother posting any more [Poor language removed].

Give it a rest. Arteta is going nowhere.

Rook, have you seen his corners? 80% o the time they don't even clear the first defender! His set pieces have been very poor this season, it seems his strength is in the crosses he delivers from open play.

Watched the Derby Co. game and he still looks off. No way would I even consider letting him go. He is not any were close to 100% fit. Next year he will back to his old self and I hope Timmy will be too.

i think we r gettin far too fussy if we r talkin bout lettin arteta go .....yes he has been pretty crap for best part of 8-10 games now but cream always rises to the top .....

nigglin injury perhaps ?????/ over reliance on his skill that no one else gets a crack at tryin it ????? r all this talk bout movin ?????

Agreed mate. Like i say, been a disappointing season by his standards but injuries have probably been key in that. Hope a good summer off, recharge the batteries and the likes of Cahill and Arteta will be back to their best for the start of the new season
