I remember when their fans were fuming because we got Ancelotti and they got Arteta, granted Ancelotti may well have done a great job for them but it's worked out well for them in the end and they now have a young coach going forward.

Happy for Arteta, my favourite Everton player during Moyes first period. No idea why some of our fans dislike him.

Loved Arteta as a player for us, he was class. I wanted to see them bottle it, but only because of jealousy and due to our season wimpering towards the end.

Whilst they haven't been the most entertaining, they found a way to win so fair play. Not sure they'll do it against PSG but stranger things have happened. Either way, they'll be stronger next season now they finally got over the line.

Think because he had his best years with us, people overlook how good he was as a player. Had everything. Wasnt the same after his injury and we sold him at the right time.

Arteta never really got booed by Everton supporters until he cheated to eliminate us from the 2014 FA Cup

At that point he did get booed, and he deserved it

Prior to that he always got a clap from the fans
