Arteta interview (recent)

Anyone who even has a go at it would have their confidence knocked. The treatment of Osman, Ross, Besic, Davies from some parts of the fan base has been shocking. The uncomfortable truth is that the fans who allowed young Pienaar and Arteta the time to settle in and flourish wouldn’t give them more than a game or two now.

Sadly you're absolutely bang on.

When he referred back to the old Moyes side. That was a proper team who I was proud to support. Can't say the same about Everton for a good few years now.
I was as passionate an Evertonian as any back then, now I'm just not arsed. Bunch of instagram twitterers, overpaid, overhyped non triers.

I think the Moyes haters deep down know we would be better off right now had we got him back. Now it's going to be transition after transition after transition. Doubt Silva will last long tbh.

Yeah it is true, got on the train to the match on Sunday and got speaking to an old blue and his first words were let’s hope that F-in Davies isn’t playing??? And then went on to say he hopes Lookman starts??? Crazy some of our fans
Yeah, that is crazy. Lets drop good players for this sulky kid with nothing to his game but running, stopping and shooting directly at the keeper. Lets drop one of our biggest goal threats for that guy, huh? Seems smart right? Or dumb/crazy.

That wasn't a great look for Arteta there yesterday. Sat in the pissing down rain next to Guardiola who was back in the dugout overseeing a 5-0 demolition a few days after City's dismal performance in Europe.
