Arshavin.....

Arshavin and Arteta in the same midfield would never have worked anyway, great on the eye maybe but ultimately detremental to the team as a whole.

Good luck to him, he's too good for us anyway, plus his 50k a week wages at Zenit will probably be doubled at Barcelona. £20m odd he'll go for now.

How on Earth can anyone be too good for us? please?

Let's keep targeting middle of the road players and journeymen that can help keep this club from improving? No one is too good for us. That is the whole point of wanting to improve. By buying better players.

Some people completely blow my mind.

i heard a russian saying on talksport that 15 millions euros was the money offered so i may not be cut and dry yet.....although i suspect it is. where there is hope.............

It will be interesting if Barca follow up their enquiry after tonight. Could have been an insurance offer should he produce a display good enough to get Russia through to the final.

As posted in the Spain vs. Russia thread:

If we're gonna use the "Michael Bradley vs. England" litmus test, Arshavin won't be anywhere near the Barca first team next season on today's performance.
