Im confused- what position does this fella actually play? Midfield or Attack?

Thats what i thought but that article says firstly he is a striker and then goes on to say will give real width to the side.

seen him play for the russia and he was in midfield , and the papers call him a playmaker so i guess it would be midfield

apparently he can play in the hole, as an attacking midfielder or as a winger.

Sound like a replacement for anyone?

looks like he knows his way to goal, 11 goals in 25 matches in UEFA cup, 7 in 26 for Russia, 55 in 229 for Zenit in the russian league. looks realy skillful on the ball aswell, id be so happy if we got him!

The bit about us says
