I wouldnt swap him for anyone we have right now!!!*

is this the bentley thread?

If that doesnt make moyes and the board want him, nothing will. Now we just gotta wait and see where he goes. I would bet my house it will be the EPL.

He was in and out today I thought. Looked classy when he had it but didn't see it enough. Thats probably down to lack of match practice and the position he's playing though.

He'd be far better on the left wing where he's continually close to the ball and can work his magic with it. He definatly got the attributes to make it here.

I'd take him for the right price.

I agree with you, I have seen him on 5/6 occasions and tonight was one of his quieter games although he's a tremendous player. I also don't think he is on 50k either regardless of what ITV say, I think it's more like 30. Money is not his reason to move I would imagine anyway, he's 27 now it's either go now or he will play his full career in Russia. Any move now will be for a new challenge.

I thought exactly the opposite i have not been won over by Ashavein untill tonight game, i cant see how he was in out and out of the game, he was involved in almost every attacking move and Russia gave Swedan a right good roasting. I thought i was going mad that people were seeing things in his performences that i didnt but tonight he proved to me what an excellent player he is.

What impressed me most was his versatility he has a compleately different role for the Russian tema then he does for the Zenit. Its a free role and he played almost everywhere tonight, on both wings, behind the striker on the edge of the box coming form deep and up front getting on the end of things. His vision was imense not only his beatifull defence splitting balls but even the simplest of touches and passes taking players out of the game, his vision and ability to carry out what he intends is amazing. This is only complimented by his decison making he knows when to play it simply and knows when to playin ellaborately, like i say his vison, ability and choices are well honed. To add to this he knows when to run with the ball and when its best to keep retention by playing it simple, he is a great reader of the overall game and his awarness is supurb!

Some things that surprised me was his running not only his pace but the making of intelligent runs when he didnt have the ball sometimes getting on the end of things sometimes streching defences and taking opposition players out of the game even if he is not in receipt of the ball. Probably the thing that surprised me the most tonight was his strength, i mean some of the Swedish players are as tough as they come, he went shoulder to shoulder with Mellberg on many occasions and in many of those occasions coming out on top. Similarlarly in sheilding the ball.

Overall i was unconvinced untill tonight but he was an absolute class act tonight. Please remebr how gash Russia have been up untill this match.

Also i was impressed by Kallstrom for Swedan but i think hes a bit to much like Pienaar.

Was also really impreessed with Yuri Zhiikhov.

I thought he wasn in and out to be honest. I've definatly seen him have better games. He was involved in Russia best attacks but he wasn't always involved in there general play.

Personally I don't think he's a player who's going to grab the game by the scruff of the neck and dictate. He seems to be one of those players that drifts in and out of games and gives you alot in the final third and around the box.

He's definatly a quality player, in his prime and in our interchangable fluid 4-5-1 system he'd fit perfectly on the left hand side in my opinion.

You know, its a bit sad. But i was hoping he'd have a bad game tonight an russia went out. Iv been in work all night so not seen the game. But from what iv heard, Arshvin had a really good game. The better he plays, the less chance we have of getting him.

We'll offer 21-14m an the geordies or spurs will offer 20m an thats it. Hate that we dont compete.
