Arsene Wenger on the loan system

I have no doubt that when Jose Mourinho lent us Lukaku, he knew it would damage the clubs in the title chase. Makes sense really, you've got a great player but he's not going to be in your team for what ever reason, you lend him to some one who's going to take points off those around you whilst he develops and show cases himself for a higher sell on value.

However, with Barry I think this would be to off set his wages and give him a chance of first team football, which he wouldn't get at City. With Deulofeu, it's because he needs competitive first team football to continue developing, much the same as we send out youngsters on loan.

I think Wenger just knew JM plan when he lent Lukaku out and wants a whinge about it.

Also....HE'S SCARED OFF US!!

He underestimated the power of the Scottish Messi when he came to Goodison though.

Sorry, I put this in the Barry thread in response to someone, but realised it might be more relevant to put it here...

Wenger is wrong on that though. The rule was brought in to avoid the even more questionable practice of having someone on your pay roll playing against you, for obvious reasons.
He knows that, but saying nothing wouldnt get in the papers and wouldnt be a potential distraction to opponents.

Genius Reidy, looking forward to a rendition of this in the family enclosure later.

not 1 of mine but I'm hoping to hear it as well.

Jose said exactly that when he loaned him to us, that it will help Chelsea because Rom will take points off clubs that are challenging them.

How many players from these clubs that are complaining though are out on loan ?

& how many of the players that they have are actually paid for IN FULL thereby belonging to them, the safes of clubs all over europe are holding IOU's from player transactions as they are bought on the drip, with clubs only wiping that 'debt' when the player is moved on and they get another IOU from the next buying club.... hoping to make enough profit out of them that the down payment clears the original IOU. As well as all the debts to Banks as well for transfers.

The system is there, we took advantage of it, Arsenal didn't.

I know what he's saying isn't directly against us but his stubbornness to not exploit the loan market and the January transfer window has a negative effect on Arsenal. He's daft.

Football is full of hypocrites. So is it OK for Arsenal's wage bill to be twice the size of ours. Is that fair? Is it OK for Chelsea and Cittee to be bankrolled the way they are? Football has got much more serious problems than worrying about the loan system. Liberpewl have got loan players, Arsenal have got loan players. Is it only an issue if the loan players are actually good and influence a team? If Kallstrom scores in the last game of the season to deny us CL will Wenger mention this ever again?

We are obviously a threat to him and his ambitions, he's trying to make out that we don't deserve to be. Let's have these goons

With owners owning multiple clubs like Pozzo with his Watford, Udinese and Granada it would be silly to allow players playing against their parent club. Imagine having 3 loanees from each of those clubs, fielding 9 loanees with conflicting interests when facing any of the three clubs...

If we get 4th something WILL be done about it.

On that, why don't we just ban teams outside the main 4-5 buying players, and make them only play local lads. For the brand like
