The age thing doesn't bother me as the avg manager only sticks around for 2-3 years anyway.

As far as training, tactics and developing talents he's still one of the best. The reason why Arsenal is where its at is because he's loath to spend the money it takes and sells all his best players to rival clubs.

I honestly cannot think of an appointment less in line with what we need. A 68 year old who's being hounded out of his current club for failing to address long standing issues and only having one style of play, with indelible ties to another club in the division meaning he'll always be accused of 'not getting us' etc. Not for me.

our last 3 results against Arsenal

Arsenal 5 Everton 1

Everton 2 Arsenal 5

Arsenal 3 Everton 1

for someone who only has one style of play, its surprisingly effective against us don't you think

If our shortlist of managers is just people who tend to beat us, there'll be nothing short about it.

As I've already said, there's no doubting he's a good manager, but seeing as they're the only team in the league without an away point this calendar year, it would appear the style of play isn't very effective against anyone else, don't you think?

His style of play is outdated. His teams do nothing off the ball. He's got them on a steadily downward curve.

Take him in a heartbeat, Arsenal have played great passing football for years, he would improve us as a team and as a club easily

His time has come and gone, there's nothing wrog with that it's natural.

Deserves immense credit for what he's achieved.

Be a strange feeling, not gonna happen anyway like, but least he'd set out a clear way for the team to be built up etc, the idea of him as a DoF etc is interesting as it'd set a clear direction for the club going forward, then again he's never done some of the other stuff required by a top DOF so would be a massive gamble, also feel he'd be too hands on etc as well even in that role.

It would be great for a few years if he came. However we are a crap club without any hope of attracting a top manager. If West Ham bin DM, I reckon he would come back if asked. Then we can open an everlasting thread on the same lines as the Allardyce one. Seriously I don't think Moshiri has a flying clue what to do next, apart from saying bye bye to Sam. We are locked in with a squad full of old age and mediocrity. Apart from Wenger the might be another geriatric out there who wants a final fling. Ranieri?
