By the laws and rues of the game, yes the booking was valid.
Just that it being the last game of the season and the guy on a stretcher, Oliver could have been forgiven for not showing the yellow.

I've agreed with you that by the letter of the laws, Gabriel was rightly booked.

I was merely expressing an opinion that given it was the last game of the season, the player was obviously in some pain on the stretcher, then imo the referee could and probably have been forgiven by the authorities if he had chosen not to show the yellow card.

Yeah I understand your points mate, and I'm only disagreeing with your opinion that it being the last game of the season should have any bearing on whether the player should be booked or not. No drama!
