Look at where there defensive line is compared to ours. We're basically in our own box all the time, but they're pushing up to the half way line. Makes it difficult for any midfield.

We can't play high because there'll be a ball in behind every minute, because the midfield doesn't exist defensively.

It's a catch 22. Only solution is some tenacity in midfield so they can't pick the ball up and immediately know they can get their heads up and pick a pass under no pressure.

Basically, for all his faults, Tom Davies should be playing instead of Gomes.
