I appreciate we’ve spent a lot of money on the team (over 200 mio), but I genuinely don’t think we are challenging the ‘big 6’ at the moment.
Yes, we are very good, but not quite at the elite level. Hopefully a new stadium on the Mersey will give us the extra oomph to really mix it with the likes of City, Chelsea etc
