His chin is offside, his chin is offside… Armando Broja, his chin is offside…
Another wretched display as a striker it’s been an absolutely horrendous loan and he really ought to be Chelsea’s problem now not ours.

A sound buy of a striker has always been essential as No. 1 priority this summer, but it’s really pointed now - neither Broja nor Beto are anywhere near what we need to deliver significant improvement.

I will forever be confused as to why football managers keep picking him. Is he incredible in training? He is such a wet blanket whenever he plays, so whats the deal?
This is what really gets me. He's proper useless. People keep pointing out how good he was at Southampton, and if you look, he was not much of a goal threat there either. Did some clever little stuff with the ball at his feet to add to the silly highlight videos, but scored 6 league goals in 32 games (21 starts), had no assists, and created as few chances for others as Dom generally does.

As another poster stated, he's legitimately a championship level player, at best, who will probably make his career bouncing around the lower halves of the tables in Germany and France.

Realized today that he may be like an attacking version of Keane: good technique, looks incredible in training, then adds nothing and is generally weak during games. Absolutely shocking to see Moyes pick him. Myth of a player.

He was a very desperate late window signing imo.

If we are to truly move forward a restructure and shake up of the recruitment team and process needs to happen.

It really becomes frustrating when people damage control the obvious and then months later the realisation kicks in and we seem to do this more than anyone.

A summer of arguing which average players have been kept on because “we need a squad” hopefully is kept to a minimum.

Agreed. Everton do need a squad but the squad needs to be better than it is now to improve, I’d honestly only try to keep Gana and I’d happily let every other loan and out of contract player leave and be another team’s problem.
