It's absolutely true*. It's a well known fact football clubs publicly announce what they are paying players, and that players confirm what their wage is. It explains why so many people know for a FACT he is on on 250k... or 100k... or 40k... or 60k... and exactly what the terms of his loan are because somebody somewhere on the twitterwebs said so.
