There is a difference between a bouncing/happy atmosphere and simply supporting the players. Lobbing abuse is completely counter-productive.

Are we to blame for our current situation years and years of mismanagement, we’ve stood around and boo’d players and managers but something has always been the same, a unambitious board.

When some fans did let their opinions be known some so called Evertonians spent their time poking fun at fans for wanting more.

What does everyone think?

Slightly different, but watching Cleverley at lunchtime today, looking like a different, better player than when he was at Everton,it occurred to me that maybe the GP crowd has something to answer for,in its desire always to find a scapegoat, either a player or 'back room boy'. Maybe our support needs to be more unconditional,and not eternally critical. Uncertain coaching and tactical nous apart, we have a top class bunch of players at the moment and are not playing well,resulting in players being labelled as useless...and this will stick with some players until they leave the club. Football supporters in general like a good old cheer at the team...at Everton it seems that the supporter preference is to find scapegoats and stick with them.(the above named Cleverley, Pistone(once dubbed in Italy as 'the new Mancini',and top of OPTA passing stats)come to mind and there are many others. We jeer when a cheer or at least encouragement might be a better option.

Spot on. We have the worst home support in the country by an absolute mile, and something has to be done as it's utterly embarrassing, but I have no idea what we can do to help it.

There’s Everton fans who would spend in a season probably enough to go and buy a New car, which one of these players could buy in the time it takes do pre-game stretches. If they want to boo I think they are fully entitled too.
That’s not including the actual hours they put into following Everton around.

Well hey, I've gotta be honest, there's been a lot of low moments in my life, but that's never been one of them....86 was a particularly low period though

It works both ways the players need to give the crowd something to cheers for, that could just be effort and Goodison will roar you on. If you aren't trying or are half arsed or don't have the balls to play for us you will feel the fume.
