Slightly different, but watching Cleverley at lunchtime today, looking like a different, better player than when he was at Everton,it occurred to me that maybe the GP crowd has something to answer for,in its desire always to find a scapegoat, either a player or 'back room boy'. Maybe our support needs to be more unconditional, and not eternally critical. Uncertain coaching and tactical nous apart, we have a top class bunch of players at the moment and are not playing well, resulting in players being labelled as useless...and this will stick with some players until they leave the club. Football supporters in general like a good old cheer at the team...at Everton it seems that the supporter preference is to find scapegoats and stick with them.(the above named Cleverley, Pistone(once dubbed in Italy as 'the new Mancini',and top of OPTA passing stats)come to mind and there are many others. We jeer when a cheer or at least encouragement might be a better option.
