Are we part of the top 7 or top of the bottom 14

I would say there is a clear top 6 but Everton are the only side that might brake into that group. Others might do it as a rare one off, like last season, but we are serious contender

Does it matter, just win games and see where we end up at seasons end, wherever that is the 'top' term used will be exactly one place above where we finish though in the media.

Need to break that group consistently and to win a thing or two before that will ever change.

Then again meaning that we'd end up getting the same hype and bs spouted about us then, I'd loathe the way the media would suddenly change its opinion like with city, spurs etc.

It depends on when you ask the question.

Having got 16 points from our last seven matches I think we should be ranked top 7. In fact, we're actually doing
better now than a couple of teams above us.

If you'd asked the question after the Watford match when we'd won only 1 of the previous 10, top fourteen would've
flattered us.
Er, I meant bottom fourteen would've flattered us. And it would've. We were rubbish.

...the league doeasn't lie, we are 7th. Let's not forget we were beaten at home by a struggling Leicester a few weeks back. Saying that, there is a positivity after some really great results recently.

I would say we are 7th. I would say we are looking upwards rather than over our shoulder.

We've finished bottom half of the table for the last couple of years, before that we were top 7 comfortably. But I'd wait until we get a few consistent league finishes before branding us with anything. Southampton have been a top 7 club for the past few seasons, but are currently not.

These next run of games will determine the outlook for the season IMO.

I'm comfortable with where we are and what we are doing right now, and it would be nice to apply just a bit of pressure to those above us.
