I walked out of the ground after WBA and immediately said to my dad and mates "we're getting relegated. We have zero fight, the teams at the bottom do." They told me to stop being ridiculous ignoring my "we're 7 points off it"

We're now 5 points off the drop. We're going down. I honestly can't see where a win is coming from?

I am concerned also. We have sold our best players and wasted the money, we bought players who may have, or may not have been good.
However we never gave them a chance.
All this while the `pipe dream` of a new stadium is used to deflect away from the atrocious running of the club, by an inept, incompetent
board and owner that quite clearly have no idea how to run a football club.

Since you mention them, I don't really see how their situation can be deemed much different to ours. If Moyes has steadied the ship there, then surely Allardyce did the same with us?

We have been one of the worst injury hit teams this season too. I haven't looked but which of their players have been more significant losses than ours?

There's a lot being made about the fact that Moyes currently has 14 players unavailable either through injury or suspension. A few of them include Arnautovic, Antonio, Carroll and Lanzini who are all amongst West Ham's better players. As for us we had Funes Mori, Seamus Coleman and Yannick Bolasie out for the start of the season. You could include Ross Barkley but I wouldn't because if he didn't pick up his injury in pre season he would have left on deadline day of the summer window anyway. The only players we've lost really this season so far are Baines and McCarthy. Baines is a blow because its meant we have to play a complete dud at left back but McCarthy has been so injury hit in recent years that its actually a surprise when he makes the squad. We had ample time last summer to make safe our full back positions, the club decided to go with Martina and Kenny at right back (proved to be a mistake) and decided to go with Baines on his tod at left back (proved to be a massive mistake).

Yes the injuries haven't helped us but we could have done so much more to cover for them and we've had ample opportunity. If the worst happens this season I won't be using injuries as an excuse.

As for whether Allardyce and Moyes have done similar jobs, I suppose they have. However after the run of results Fat Sam had when he got here, the fact we find ourselves only 5 points clear of 18th several games later simply isn't good enough. Moyes took over a team who looked doomed under Bilic. We were crap before Allardyce took over (we're still crap now) but we were picking up the occasional result under his predecessors. I think we would have been midtable even under Unsworth who I thought was doing nearly everything wrong. I had hoped Allardyce would improve us from them but he hasn't.

We are five points above the relegation places.

And, on current form, we are better than...Burnley.[/QUOTE

Last 6 games points total, with games against Leicester (Home), Arsenal and Palace (Away) to come.

Its looking grim.

1 Liverpool 15
2 Tottenham Hotspur 14
3 Manchester City 13
4 Chelsea 12
5 Manchester United 12
6 West Ham United 10
7 Swansea City 10
8 AFC Bournemouth 9
9 Leicester City 8
10 Arsenal 8
11 Newcastle United 8
12 Crystal Palace 8
13 Stoke City 7
14 West Bromwich Albion 6
15 Brighton and Hove Albion 5
16 Southampton 4
17 Watford 4
18 Everton 3
19 Burnley 2
20 Huddersfield Town 2

Allardyce must be sacked if we get humiliated tonight. The Arsenal game is already a guaranteed loss under him, yet with a new manager may turn into a draw if the players rally. This 'form' cannot be allowed to continue if we lose this. We're on relegatiom form as it is, another two straight defeats and we'll really be staring down the barrel.

The players you listed don't compare to our injuries in my opinion. Arnautovic and Lanzini have only just recently got injured and are not long term. Carroll can be put in the same category as McCarthy as he's been injury prone for years.

We have had one of our most influential players out for 10 months in Coleman, we lost a £30m signing in Bolasie for a year, as well as our only left footed centre back, and our only Left Back has been out for 2 months.

I accept the lack of backup is down to mistakes by our management but in terms of influential players getting injured most significantly, I think ours have had a far greater impact.

I do agree (however with mention to Arnautovic and Lanzini I think you can compare them to us as they are unequivocally West Ham's best players, they'll also be missing for 1-2 months I think which is a lot of matches at this stage in the season.) My point was centred around the backup argument however, we definitely have dropped a major clanger allowing people like Williams, Jags and Baines to still be so crucial to this squad despite their advancing years. Obviously the club had hoped for more from Keane but we needed more options bought in the summer. Bottom line, we are straight crap. Agreed with point regarding Coleman, he's my favourite player by a mile and we have missed him dearly.

All the people certain we are getting relegated should hop off to the bookies and pay for their summer holidays

What if you're certain we're in a relegation battle but not certain we're going to get relegated? I imagine that synopsis would apply more to the majority of us.

We are getting dangerously close now to being pulled into a relegation fight.

After tonight's game and Saturdays away trip to Arsenal, there is a big possibility that we could be in the bottom 6.

Currently we are struggling to score goals and have gone back to conceding too many.

The biggest concern for me however is the passion and fight or lack of it.

I don't thing this squad have the heart or bottle to get us out of a relegation fight if we do end up in one.
