If we lose to Watford, you'd have to say yes. If we beat them, get a new manager in over the international break who then has time to whip them into shape before an easy-ish run of fixtures, then you'd have to say there's hope once more.

I'd like to think the manager had a lot to do with..so if they appoint a better one the form and performances should change.

I can't believe they sacked him without a solid plan.

It appears that the plan, was to cross our fingers and hope that Unsworth would win a couple of games and everything would be hunky dory again.

That, after all is the Everton way.

Putting a negative connotation on one answer and a positive on the other shows you're trying to influence peoples voting.

Even if it doesn't affect how people vote it makes the poll look biased, which doesn't help validate whatever the results of the poll are.

Or it was a light-hearted way of summing up how I see the two options. Why do you assume I want to influence voting? Bit of a leap. I am actually interested in seeing whether the majority are thinking that way.

I reckon we need about 32 more points from the next 28 games. To give us a total of 40 points. We can win 10 games and draw 2 and lose 16 of the remaining fixtures.

In all likelyhood it will be more like, win 7, draw 11, lose 10.

Either way, it can be done

Whilst I've exaggerated it does sum up the two stances that many are taking, no?

We will be fine over the whole season Vs we are screwed if we don't get a relegation specialist in.
Nope, you have attached a moderate comment next to the "no" option and a sarcastic and hyperbolic comment next to the "yes" option. It is called confirmation bias and is entirely consistent with the bulk of the comments that you have made on this subject.

...definitely. The league doesn’t lie after 10 games and we are in the bottom three. There is absolutely nothing to suggest we won’t be there all season.

We are but I still don't think it's time to pull the trigger on Big Sam.

Big Sam will keep us up. He will probably get us back into the top 8 even this season but.......

Next season we will be back in this position looking for another manager.

I think @Eggs always stated his way of judging whether or not we would be in a relegation scrap was if we were at 20 points by New Year. Thats 12 more pts in 11 games.

Watford H
Palace A
Saints A
Wham H
Huddersfield H
Scum A
Toon A
Swans H
Chelsea H
WBA A
Bournemouth A

Would have been a good poll if you hadn't tried skewing it by attaching a positive and negative comment on each answer.

The poll will now carry about as much weight as the Catalan referendum.
Plus it didn't work because it forced me to vote no when I would have voted yes.

I believe you guys are reading too much into a quick poll on an internet forum....
