Are they for real?!

When David Moyes took over the job all yhose years ago Everton was a club on the precipice of relegation. We had barely survived the drop but I think we all knew that if we kept going as we were it was inevitable. The job was something of a poisoned chalice for a manager with a reputation. If things went wrong (and they so very easily could) it was relegation and a big blemish on the c.v. At the time there wasn't the promise of a big transfer budget,it more or less had to be done with what was aleady there.
David Moyes at the time was ideal, young up and coming manager,if he did well his c.v was greatly enhanced(this is what has happened) if we were relegated it was a challenge in the championship a league he already knew well and very little blame would hve been laid at his feet.
Now,we are a club considered as serious contenders for the CL.If David Moyes did leave, his replacement would be a manager the board was convinced could keep the club at that level or even better.

The job description is very different to ten years ago.The salary at 65k is also at a level to attract most managers.

I think it will be between Neville or Steve Round. Personally I would like Martinez as I like the style of football he is trying to get Wigan playing, I think he could do that here to greater effect. Also he has a good understanding of the foreign market which with our resources could be a blessing.

I'm intrigued by Solskjaer, he's done a good job where he's at and he's still very young. The more I think about Martinez, the more I'm underwhelmed. I don't think he's had quite as much money as Steve Bruce did but I think he's flattered to deceive slightly. Having said that I wouldn't be annoyed if he became our next manager.

As for McLeish, Hughes, McCoist, Coyle, O'Neill. No thanks.

If Mark Hughes is allowed anywhere near us I will refuse to acknowledge any football until he is sacked .

Malky Mackay interests me, purely because people called Malky are generally sociopaths and he'd probably headbutt Kenwrong.
