Are they for real?!

IMHO and ONLY IMHO....I think these threads are a complete disgrace and show no respect for a man in charge of his 500th game today.

We have some right belters in our fan base.

I apologise for hurting your feelings. There's no suggestion that Moyes would be sacked here so he'd only be moving on by his own accord. Therefore it says nothing negative about him and any lack of ability does it?

Which ever way you dress it up it stinks of hypocrisy for a manager to seek to tie-down players on long contracts one minute but refuse to discuss his own the next.

Personally I wouldn't be talking about any possible replacement for Moyes if there wasn't any doubt over his future, but we're near to the end of the January transfer window and he is yet to sign a new contract.

I would like Moyes to stay myself but in my honest opinion I don't think he will sign a new contract, for what it's worth.

Dell seems to be spokesman for the board on here. Is this the first briefing against Moyes for when he's finally had enough of nil/negative net spend BillK ?

Want to check Martinez' cup record, mate?

It's comparing Wigan to Everton that stops me.

Best of the rest doesn't have me dancing in the streets but Wigan, Blackpool, Bangor City and teams of that ilk can only dream of such an accolade.

I know you don't rate him mate and you might be right for me he's the only one of any experience I can make any sort of case for. Laudrup, Solsjaer are unknowns to me, perhaps Bilic might have the charisma to do something maybe Di Canio with his craziness could light the place up but in all honesty the dearth of managers is a concern.

The only thing I am sure of is we need something more than another 10 years of Moyes.

I think the draw of the prem means we can bring in a proven experienced manager from the continent and we don't have to settle for someone from the english lower leagues this time but that might be giving kenwright too much credit.

If I was to place a bet, I would go with Neville at 8/1. I think Moyes will be around for a few more years, but when he finally does go I could see Neville getting the job, as caretaker to begin with, then full time.

I was taken to do a bit of research this morning in wanting to put a decent bet on Everton's next manager. I have a feeling that Moyes may well go in the summer after we 'just' miss out on Europe and fail at another Cup semi-final. He's set up for life and despite the job security etc I do think he'll fancy a challenge somewhere else.

Started looking at the bookies odds and [Poor language removed] me are they taking the mick with some of the names. And here I think there's a chance to take advantage of this mis-reading.

A lot of them are nothing but insulting failures and the market still seem to have Everton down as this twobit club. I've said it before that I think we're actually an attractive proposition given the very few opportunities at clubs above us. I don't think the squad will disintegrate at all as ultimately they are all professionals. I think managers will be attracted to working for a decent sized club with a board that will stick by them for a few years. Plus I think when push comes to shove the board will see they have to splash the cash for big wages for a manager as clearly in our business model the manager is all important.

Anyway, here's me wanting to put a few quid on Neil Lennon and then a couple of more random decent rated continental managers and could I find their odds?! No, but a few jokers its easy. I mean Mark Hughes?!?! Alex McLeish?!?!? Ally McCoist?!?! And someone called Jimmy Boyle that I've just learned is presently manager of Airdrie! I can understand why the likes of Round and even Neville have relatively short odds but I've highlighted some of the absolute belters in my book:

(lowest odds from Stan James, Sky Bet / Oddschecker - 26 Jan 13)

Roberto Martinez 5/4
Steve Round 5/1
Mark Hughes 10/1
Phil Neville 8/1
Martin O'Neil 12/1
Sam Allardyce 12/1
Harry Redknapp 14/1
Ally McCoist 14/1
Owen Coyle 16/1
Steve Bruce 16/1
Slaven Bilic 20/1
Walter Smith 20/1
Alex McLeish 25/1
Jimmy Boyle 25/1
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 25/1
Steve McClaren 25/1
Alan Curbishley 28/1
Roy Keane 28/1
Billy Davies 33/1
Chris Hughton 33/1
Dave Jones 33/1
David Weir 33/1
Didier Deschamps 33/1
Frank Rijkaard 33/1
Gus Poyet 33/1
Lee Carsley 33/1
Malky Mackay 33/1
Paul Ince 33/1
Sven Goran Eriksson 33/1
Alan Shearer 33/1
Glen Hoddle 33/1

Note - I'm not saying I favour any of those I've not highlighted just I can understand the odds.

Any tips from any Blues to help me? My main bet is going on Lennon but need say two others.

Cheers
We have possibly the second or third best Manager in the league and all you can think about is who will replace him! Typical blues so pessimistic.Moyes says he will talk about it in January.Just pray he stays!!

No chance. If he wants to go then let him. The club's bigger than him. He's done a great job these last 11 years but in so doing if he thinks he's bigger than the club now then off he goes. I think very highly of him (and don't see either one or two other managers as obviously being better than him) and I do want him to stay but he alone is creating this uncertainty.

Bilic for me. He's got a fair bit of high level experience, also he's cool as [Poor language removed] and an ex blue.
