It's silly to blame the ball really.
Look at the way they play football, it's bloody effective and intelligent. Most of their goals are tap in and this indicate great success in fluid passing game. There's no team that pass like them at this level, Spain passes well but not as direct and as effective as the Germans.

Teams on form normally win stuff, Ze Germans are bang on form, its gonna take something special to stop them, with the greatest respect, the teams left in dont have the best of defenses, the Semis will be epic, finally the WC will come to life.

I don't think it's the ball, it's just that the eleven the Germans put on the field produce it as a team. They might not have the big names but they can pass the ball and use possession devastatingly well. Add to that, they can counter fantastically well.

I really enjoy watching them play, eight goals past England and Argentina is a no fluke, Spain have a tough task on their plate.
