Shocked there's no thread on him.

terrific header for the goal today. When he came on didn't play that well at 1st but slowly got in the game an by the end was playing really well.

Could be a decent young kid we have on our hands.

Me old man reckon's he's the potential to be BOSS.

I've noticed he's really really good looking like. All the women in the stands must be swooning. (plus Chicoazul).

As someone else said.

Vellios is our very own Spartan.

Haven't seen a replay, but was it Vellios who held the ball up and knocked it out to Hibbert in the first place? Good center forward play, that. And the finish was great too.

Since we're so reliant on crosses for our chances a front two of Stracq and Vellios could be fruitful. Some exciting things to take from the game today. Drenthe looks like he's going to be great. Why are his initials on the back of his shirt though?

Yeah it was essentially a 1-2; Vellios held it up, avoided the Wigan defenders and sprayed it to Hibbo, who crossed superbly and Vellios then buried it. It was a great move to be honest.

No, it was Straq, wasn't it? Going to have to go and check.

Oh, and I'm calling Vellios "Bert" from now on.

Yeah, I just watched it again. It was Vellios who started the move. I thought it was Straq at the time.

It was Straq who set Ricky up, but i already knew that.

I'm still not sold on Stracq. He did well to set up Drenthe but we didn't have doubts about his physical/aerial presence.

I'm not saying he was bad either, I just think we saw too little of him to get a decent opinion.

Vellios on the other hand had looked promising in all his brief appearances before and this time he got the goal he deserved. I was made up and actually screamed "VELLLIIIIIIIOOOSSSSSSSSS" when he scored. The neighbours must have been a bit confused.

I thought he was a bit pants unitl the goal. There was one part when he could have put Osman, I think, through, but shot weakly from a distance he was never going to trouble Al-habsi from. He seemed to improve after the goal though, and he looked tidy last week.

I really think he should start.

I liked his celebration : stand there with an arm in the air and a smile on his face as the team embrace him.

I tell you what, everyone bloody did embrace him. They all rushed over and spread the manlove around for ages.

They looked really pleased for him. I can only assume he's a popular figure amongst the lads.
