Player Valuation: £70m
I've got a little project on the go , and I could do with some general access to pre-war stuff , their daily lives , but could particularly do with some specific bits .
I've been to The Times , and others , including The Echo , but can't access anything on-line without the magic word - $$$ .
So , these would be gratis one's , I'm talking about , here , btw .

Anyway , just thought I'd ask you cats . What with yous all bein' dead clever , an' all .
Anyone know any decent sites ???

As a start lid.

If you are ever down in London lcab you can try the massive British Library newspaper place in Colindale (on the northern line, about 25 minutes from Euston, the place is virtually opposite the tube station).

British Library Newspaper Reading Room

You can contact them beforehand to get advice on how to get what you need, they may also be able to email it to you.

Contact the papers direct - they usually keep back issues. Otherwise, in your local library there should be a reference section which should have some, otherwise a museum? - depends how far back you need

Library is your best bet mate.

Try the university too. They have all sorts in their archives.

Cheers , guys / Doris .

Sometimes , when I try and quote someone , I go to post , and it wont let me . Says I need more than 5 characters - even though there are more than 5 . I try it 3/4 times , and sack it , sans quote .
Used to happen a lot in Tipster .

you need to make sure your typing outside the last [/quote] tag. I've noticed sometimes in your PMs you can reply within the quote, if that makes sense.
