I think DM wasn't expecting him to do anything in the EC's tbh. He was suspended for the 1st 2 games as well so even if he had a good game in the final group match we would have still been in a strong position to sign him. Still should have acted in January though

This is going to on for ever Did we make a offer for him before the Euros,I doubt it but its just a opinion as no one knows,If we had would they have accepted No nor would his agent When Lineker left for Spain the rumours going round was a deal had been done before the Euros and every one I spoke to as well as being gutted also criticised the selling when his fee would have risen after the championships.so why would the Russians sell?
