Ex Everton player, Belgian born defender, recently appeared at Goodison.

(you may have already had this, but I haven't got time to trawl thru the thread. I'm saving it for later.)

pat van den hauwe appeared on the Goodison pitch recently :)

Ex-Everton player of the 60's , later left us to have journey-man'ish career , but involved in one high profile , rule changing incident against our very selves .
Who he , what that ???

Extra point for his co-accused .

Ernie Hunt. Flicked the ball up with his heels at a freekick for it to be volleyed into the net...

Ex wolves and coventry wasn't he? I recall his debut well - did a wall pass with Jimmy Husband right in front of the Bullens Road paddock...

Wasn't he playing for Wolves when we played them in the cup - 1967 - at Molineux. They outplayed us but Gorden West had a blinder, kept them out and LCAB (the original one) scored a pen to equalise? We won the replay and went on to that epic quarter at the City ground - one of the best matches (and painful losses) I ever saw....

High praise indeedy from you, mucker. Thank you.

I was standing on the big south terrace at Molineux with me da that day - we were lucky.

My other memory from that game at wolves was that a young lady standing next to us fainted in the heat (it was a very hot hot day). She was wearin' a really short skirt and when her knees buckled, she inadvertently revealed stockings and suspenders...for a ten year old, it was a real education....how many women would go the match now dressed like that? We ought to campaign to bring it back....
