Benitez dodged the question mate. He didn’t answer it all. He’s hardly going to come out and publicly say he doesn’t want him, but it was hardly a warm welcome.

cant agree, 6 from 36 is rock bottom for me - unless you think we are now potentially going to turn things around, with all the evidence pointing to the contrary.

We are 15th only because of a semi reasonable start.

Benitez has had months to turn results into something semi-palatable - all hes done is humiliate himself and the club and I think Moshiri has seen that finally.

Really he should be sacked obviously, but in the absence of that I am glad he is well away from any transfer dealings as a consolation prize.

This is one positive though right now, the players have never once looked like downing tools, playing bad yes and getting beat but downing tools no, every game we have lost we have made the opponent work for it, the amount of second half turn a rounds and points gained from a losing position show this.

He was never going to openly say he didn't want a player who had just signed for the club. We will never truly know what goes on in recruitment. It's quite possible the player was not one of the main targets, but became available through circumstance, so they've gone for it.

To be honest the loan move isn't the worst business we've done. I was concerned at us paying potentially 15m but this is a lot better for the club. The onus is now on the player to prove he is worth the 10 or 15m Villa would ask for him.

We've lost by 3 clear goals 4 times in 18 league games teams hardly have to work to beat us at all. I don't think it's because of them downing tools to be fair i think it's because we're set up shambolically in pretty much every game we play.

He was the one that brought Benitez in. It’s on him that we’re even having this conversation, you better not turn into a Moshiri fanboy and act like he’s saved us all from Benitez when he does eventually get the sack.
