….i don’t remember that but I’m sure somebody else will. That goal at Bury was one of those that needed the roof of the net to stop it, if you saw it you’d wonder how he never managed to score in so many first team games.

He used to come and watch my eldest lads footy team every now and again, as one of his nephews played for the team for a bit.

He`s a genuinely nice fella. If you hadn`t know who he was, there`s no way you`d have guessed he was a pro footy player.
