Not his biggest fan but given the predicament the team has been in in several games and the direct threat he offers it is a bit shocking he has not been used more

I personally think it's just a result of England playing teams who are happy to sit in and let them have the ball. His pace is nullified if a team sits deep. You'd think the Netherlands or possibly Spain/France would try and take the game to England more, which might make a better situation for Gordon to play.
