2022/23 Anthony Gordon

Anybody advocating waiting a year for Gordon's value to increase based off of a successful domestic season seriously needs their head testing.

Next May he'll be a £8-10m player who played in most of our games as we either got relegated or again stayed up by the skin of our teeth.
Well this is just nonsense isn't it. There's no way you can say his value will drop to a similar price of a league 1 player come season end.

Anyone wanting Gordon to be sold is either a wool or clueless...or both.

Do I want him to be sold? Not at all.

Are we in a position to be turning down £40/50m for 'potential'? No.

If we had better quality in the squad or didnt have PL money problems then yes keep him. But in our situation we have to sell. Buy 2 good players and improve the team/squad.

Its a policy a lot of good teams do, Ajax, Benfica, Dortmund, Lyon used to. Buy young or bring through, develop and sell at a profit. Repeat

If Lamaprd has np say on a matter like this he may as well get through that exit door right now, because I for one would have no respect for him.

He's stated how important he is to him. If he's sold he needs to back that up.

Would you sell him Dave kid?
