I don't think Vic has ever played right mid.

Moyes could start him in goal and he'd spend the entire game playing as a striker anyway.

Nah when he has played there in previous seasons he actually spent time playing at actual right mid.

I'm sure someone will say he played well there. He played ok, far better than some of the players we've played there over the years but still not enough to mean he should be playing there rather than as an actual striker which he is.

Haven't really read this thread but, anyone who knows me from Bluekipper knows I absolutely slated this lad weekly.

However, this season his change in attitude has really really paid off. He has been an absolute handful and well worthy of his gametime, well done Victor lad.

I often wonder what a bit of confidence would do for this kid. If he became our first choice striker I can see him flourishing. Anichebe has always carried the 'point to prove' tag which can be detrimental to a player and especially a striker. I hope Moyes gives him a decent run of games which sees him starting up front.

I just think he's maturing and learning his trade.
Let's be honest, Moyes has stuck with him every since he came through 6 years ago, so it's not before time that he's giving us a return on that faith.

Full marks to Moyes for persisting with him through all those years he looked poo. He was a forgotten man for a while, and not just during his Nolan injury. Everyone rated James Vaughan higher than him when they broke in (remember the time Moyes said he only bought Yakubu because Vaughan had picked up another injury) but Vic is looking more like a proper premiership player than Vaughan is ever likely to, in the last few months.

I actually think Vaughan would be a decent striker in the premiership if he wasn't injury prone.

I personally think he's been a different player for months now, a breath of fresh air. Well in Vic, keep it up lad.

Last three of four time he has played he has been superb. Well done Victor, really stepped up a gear. Jelavic can watch on the sidelines for a few weeks as far as I am concerned.

Most players who've played/play with him when asked about Victor have always praised his all around ability. Fans have always wondered why Moyes keeps bothering, why people talk so highly of him. It's always been there, it's always been known on the inside how good he could be, the only one who's truly doubted it is Victor himself.
