Just curious as to who thought it would be Vic that would be with us at this point in time and not Vaughan. At the time I thought James Vaughan was going to be our "9". Pacy, brave, decent in the air, hardworking. What happened? Can it all be put down to injuries, or was Victor always better?

Opinions chaps?

Injuries, plain and simple.

I always though Vaughany was the better of the two and would go a lot further than Vic but he has to be one of the worst players for picking up injuries. But Vic isn't much better at staying injury free either, its a confusing old game

I always thought Vaughan was the better player, shame he picked up so many long term injuries. I always imagined them playing up top together too. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it) it didn't work out that way

Vaughan had goals in him from the kick off. Unlucky really.

I never expected Vic to do anything at all.

You run a gym and that mate, what's behind these kids being so injury prone? Rodwell looks like going the same way. They don't seem to be contact injuries, just a regular series of muscle injuries.

Hard to understand in fit, young men.

Vaughan and Beckford working well together at Huddersfield. Good to see, Vaughan had a lot to his game but couldnt get it together for us long term and Beckford was a tryer. Not sure either would have come through that Nolan challenge Victor did.

Thelink up play I saw on football league show ade them look class up top together. Definitely championship level, but a quality pairing.

I have seen Vaughan play a couple of times on SKY this season. He is still a very good player and would be excellent if it were not for injury.
However he is still only 24 and if he can stay injury free from now on I still think he can be a premiership player.
