Angus 'happily dissatisfied' Kinnear

Seems that Angus stands or falls with his manager appointment/investment and he's doubling down with him with this PR slop. I wouldn't necessarily say that TFG are in accord with this, hopefully they'll clear the parasites out sharpish.

That would then raise concerns about spending a near record amount of money (and our single highest transfer fee last summer) on a player who isn’t cutting it (at least in his first season)

I am concerned about his lack of game time but also as you say his performances so next season is make or break (sometime with young players it take a couple of seasons), he’ll only be 20 so no need to be a regular starter but he needs to be a regular in terms of game by games minutes even if a mix of starter and sub.

…and I think that’s very fair. For me it’s not about the almost paranoia of buying young or old, it’s more about buying good footballers. Moyes should certainly be held accountable his part in buying expensive failures although last years window was a mixed bag and I suppose Dibling can still turn his fortunes around.

We’ll know more in this window.

The more i think about what he said the more crazy its sounds.

"2 summer plan" the fanbase is split over Moyes but for me the worst thing to do is exactly what we are doing.

Either get rid of him now or give him a new contract, that way you are committing to something.

If we are planning to get rid of Moyes next summer (as it sounds) then this summer should be only to patch up the squad (with loans and bargain basement signings) to see us through, which again is pathetic and undermines the fans again with ticket price increases!!
Or they go all out and spend in excess of 150mil then if it fails (as it will under Moyes) then we have a squad assembled in 2 summers by a manager that's not going to be here.

Its insane and it stinks of Moshiri 2.0

Of course it is. That's like saysing someone being third highest scorer in the PL but that's not an achievement because he played for so long. First, just being employed at this level that long is not something to sneer at. Secondly you still have to earn those points in the most competitive league in the world. It doesn't mean he's third best manager ever but to say it's not an achievement is bs.

At least he can be talked about in the same conversations as Jack Addenbrook, Sam Allen and Syd King.

I think they have committed to him. They just dont want to openly say they've handed an extension because they know that's not where the fanbase are on Moyes.

The fanbase are either 'get shut and get Iraola/Glasner in' or 'let him see this contract out for a season more'.

It's just games. No one hands more cash to get it over £250M for two summers to a manager who they dont see as long term.

They see Moyes as long term if they ignore what's on offer manager-wise elsewhere this summer.

Then nothing has changed.

Just keep creaming the PL cash flow and increase the ticket prices year after year.

Enjoy the odd big win along the way.

I’d have far more respect for Moyes and Kinnear if they were honest, and acknowledged that the home form hasn’t been as good as it should be and they made some new signings who have needed longer to settle than they’d anticipated.
Instead, they just boil everyone’s piss by trying to claim that we’ve had a good season in our new ground and should be grateful for not being in another relegation scrap.

Mid Table mediocrity is where we will remain till he leaves - then we will be Tottenham or Aston Villa.

They will soon both know if the home form doesn't improve next season.

Lots to be a bit unsure of, but if all the PL cash and ticket revenue is going back into the club/squad as has been stated, then they can’t really be accused of just owning us to make money. Doesn’t seem like a status vanity/project as they don’t seem to be able to find the ground on a map.

Poor and unadventurous managerial decisions, which look to be clear as day after Angus’ soppy statement, need to be separated from “using” the club as a cash cow.

If you have got a few spare billion there are better ways to make money than buying Everton.
