Backed himself into a corner by saying the squad will be complete at the end of the summer.![]()
Think I tried to explain it away to myself at the time that they were yank owners and would only show up when we were a bit more competitive or something like that. I know Roma fans not happy atm but them getting Mourinho in there and then Gasperini made me think they had a bit more about them.I know people think it doesn’t matter, but I questioned TFG when they apparently didn’t turn up for the last game at Goodison or the first game at Bramley Moore.
I don’t see anything particularly ambitious about them. The idea they would get rid of Moyes was laughable.
Gonna be hard to explain away keeping McNeil and the arrival of Callum Wilson and an extended deal for Beto being the height of our attacking activity.Shot himself in the foot there. Why would you even stick a number on it.
I get the feeling they're actually in awe of Moyes and Moyes dominates the narrative when they have meetings about the future of the club and the players who are required. I certainly don't see the likes of Kinnear giving Moyes ultimatums like the one you suggest they shouldI can understand the 2 year plan given the number of players we lost last summer,. However the manager hasn't played most of the players they bought so to say it's on track is patently untrue. I just hope they have a meeting with Moyes where they tell him that the plan is the same as last year, to buy young players and integrate them into the squad with a view to creating a team with more value than if we'd only bought established players. Are you on board with that model?
That would be a serious concern, given how much money he wasted at West Ham.I get the feeling they're actually in awe of Moyes and Moyes dominates the narrative when they have meetings about the future of the club and the players who are required. I actually think its the non footballing issues that are of concern. The "tourist trap" that West Ham fall into when they go down i.e. their attendances will sink. Getting broadly local U-25s in on match day is what we need.
Do you think? I think we'll struggle to sign any promising young players due to the fact we can't offer Europe and we have a manger who won't play them, as evidenced by this season. We won't be able to sign the best players from the relegated or bottom part of the Premier League because there's no discernable difference between us and the likes of Leeds, and we can't offer European football like clubs like Palace (probably), and two of Bournemouth, Brighton and Brentford.….big summer, could be a fascinating window.

The only players we'll be able to sign are mercenaries who we'll massively overpay for because they'll sign for anyone who pays them the most, or number 35 on the wanted list for the clubs who are in Europe or know what they're doing. Moyes won't be shopping at Aldi, he'll be shopping at Tesco on a Sunday at 5 minutes to closing time, having to take whatever is left on the shelf.
Hope that's cheered everybody up![]()
