'Anelka: Misunderstood' - Netflix

Just a selfish get who walked out any club he went to and caused murder there.

Players like Evra, Henry, Wiltord, Pires and Petit all making an arse of themselves defending his 'genius'. Typical French flim-flam nonsense.
Well I won't be watching it if Pires is in it . Just looking at his face makes my blood boil . Anelka was talented and good at a few things . Pires could pass forward and fall over his unearned ego .

Good documentary. Showed both what a great player he was and how temperamental he is. Everything had to be his way. Keeps claiming he was always misunderstood, but at every single club he was at there were issues with him.

Him and Collymore are two of the biggest wasted talents in the modern era and it's their own fault, mostly. At least Collymore can blame some kind of clinical mental disorder. Anelka was just a brat who wanted it his own way.

Don't know about that. Pires was absolutely qualilty. He fell over quite a lot but he got kicked a lot too. Never had Pires down as someone with an overinflated ego.

Spoilt brat is all he is, was never going to settle anywhere, not with his hanger ons pocketing a percentage of every deal.

Didn't like he's gloating about playing crap in order to get Steve Clark sacked and scoring again once he had.

Fair few fond words about our neighbours from him too, bell end.

A doc on Ronaldinho would be VERY interesting. Recently arrested and jailed for having a fake passport in Paraguay. Having a fake passport in that region usually alludes to drug smuggling apparently.

imagine having a fake passport when you are one most famous footballers in the world, with one individually unique appearances to go with it.
Trying to pass yourself off as someone else is going to be difficult

umm, he rejects that

What a bizarre thing to take his side on.

This review is a lot better at explaining exactly why what he did was anti-Semitic and that he dedicated it in support of the notorious convicted French anti-Semitic "comic" who invented it, whom Anelka described as a "friend who became a brother".
