Buying his contract out will cost almost as much as paying him for the year, and its better to have a player there than paid the money and have no one, even if it is AVDM.

And I doubt anyone in world football will be looking to buy him right now, he has high salary demands and is never fit, not extactly hot material for any club. I'm afraid barring a small miracle in that he either comes good (i did say miracle!) or somene takes him off us for free.

My guess is that Moyes let's him rot another year or some sort of pro rated buyout is agreed upon and allows him to go sign with a team in Holland.
