Andy Gray!

Andy Gray is a bit of both. He was a wonderful player for us but feels he can get by on a big Sky wage without needing the daily stress of management.

Sure he dosen't preach Everton to everyone but why should he, he played for other clubs and we aren't exactly complimentary about Hansen or Lawrensen or Linekear for that matter!

He is passionate about football though and just wants to see good football. He is bound to tread on a few toes in his position but we are all allowed our own opinions, just his is broadcast and therefore he gets criticised more for it.

So is he

A) The gutsey striker who helped us to domestic and eurpopren success!

or

B) The patronising prick, who fiddles with knobs and turned down the chance to manage the club for Ruparts wads and media stardom!

What does everyone think? (No fence sitters please)!

A and he never turned us down, he was never asked

Both Gray and Lineker have been rattling on about their respective loyalties to the blue cause of late, IMO a bit of history changing is being done because for the previous 20 years nothing. Could this be more to do with our Renaissance under Moyes and a potential gravy train for ex-players than accurate comments on their true feelings in that 20 year period.

Gray has gone on record as saying Johnson interviewed him in his Birkenhead factory, I saw him in Monte Carlo at Johnson's boat. Lineker is saying he didn't want to leave Goodison yet at the time he was best mates with Venables (Barca Manager) and his wife would not move to or live in Merseyside, something he continually bleated on about in the press.

I just wish they both had far more accuracy about their claims, neither hold a candle to Sharpy, blue til he dies

Spot on Monty (y)

Watch some more come out of the woodwork as we start winning cups and the PL regularly

"I strangled Bayern and then f*cked their goalmouth while the keeper was all tied up...."

50 Shades of Andy Gray

I thought Neiler didn't like swearing?

I think he's a f*cking w*nker.

Can't stand Graeme Sharp either, weird considering how great they were together.

Imagine if he'd actually taken over as manager. More of a sentimental appointment than Kendall again, no managerial experience at all, whose to say we wouldn't have been relegated? (though all he needed was a point extra than we got to stay up by a clear point not goal difference...)

Andy Gray was fkn brilliant when he played for us, our great days, I love him for the part he played

as a pundit he's OK, he's a pundit, or he was, that's it

I do believe he was never offered the managerial position, as others have posted earlier

Graeme Sharpe however, is a fkn bonafide Everton legend.
