Don't think she'd let me go up to £370 tbh. Sub £200 is my range really. As long as I can play footy manager at the back of the class and the battery lasts all day with a (is it capacative) touch screen I'm set. Obviously needs USB and wifi etc.

been playing footy manager on an ipad on my holidays. best thing ever, aside from the obvious detractors, ipad is the best thing i've ever owned.

I have a tendency to say "hard drive" in place of any kind of memory, haha.

But you're missing my point mate. For that kind of money you can get really high spec laptops. 64GB of storage space is feck all for a piece of tech in that price range.

Absolutely, for you that makes sense, but as I am always on the go, always on a plane/hotel, the iPad (or any tab ) is simply superb. It makes it so much more convenient. Way better than whipping out the laptop to waste some time. That said, I infinitely prefer my computer. At home all I ever use my iPad for is reading books on. When I travel it becomes the tech hub for me.

I can accept I'm not the target market and I can accept that there are people who find it a solution to a problem.

But surely you must admit they're overpriced, mate? For what you're getting, in terms of hardware, they're mentally priced. You can say how it's all about the software (and obviously it is) but you pay for the software on its own.

I just think that tech should be priced with some degree of ethical proportion to cost. Especially when most of the money made from the device is from software and things like iTunes. That's why most videogame consoles are actually sold at a loss.

I own an Advent Vega

no where near as good as the ipad but a good piece of kit for £200

For you, money flaunting bi-atch....you will probably get the Samsung Galaxy tab 10.1, you Samsung loving melt!!!

I am surprised you don't have a Chelsea shirt so you can show your pride in Samsung...

It's the first time I've ever bought a Samsung phone you ted.

Despite it being the acest thing I possess at the moment I have not felt the need to come on telling everybody about it. I just enjoy it and the 50 sound things it does to my life on a daily basis.

And that in a nutshell is the difference between an apple product user and any thing other. I think it's to do with the apple user having to justify spending all that money on an inferior product. Or just plainly being a sucker for clever marketing.

Truth be told, I have scoped out my next phone. Either a Nokia WP7 or the new HTC monster of a phone, the Titan (4.7" screen!!!!)

Wife's had her iPad since last christmas its gone from something never out of her hand to something that over the last month or two is gethering dust as she's reverted back to her laptop.

Wste of money?yes it was nice tech for sure but heavy for her to use for long periods of time (oddly she doesnt find her laptop heavy to use).

Oh and iTunes as im sure you know is a horror show to use,on my PC at least 40 cd are fecked up and slotted in all over the place, what a terrible, horrid, crappy software it really is.

Creative MP3 player for me next time out.

I love iTunes, haha.

Then again, being an OCD neat freak I've spent countless hours over the years making sure every song, artist and album is properly labelled, in the right order, spelt correctly, has album artwork, has a correct year, has a correct genre and so on.

But once everything's in order it's great in my opinion. I have a [Poor language removed] ton of music but it's all neat and tidy and easy to access.
