New case, new screen, new battery. Only thing reused is the internals. Same warranty as a new one. Seems like a good deal to me.

I don't see why people are so keen on ripping into this. If it's £50 well obviously it's not going to rival the up market stuff but hey, it's £50. That looks quite nifty for the money.

Just in 2 weeks when you are regretting spending that 50 quid for something that makes you prematurely bald.....

Not a tablet fan at all. I don't know how they come up with these prices. Well I know how apple do... "So, what's a fair price, based on the hardware? Double it. Now double it again."

Actually, Apple undercut the tablets on the market by quite a lot when they iPad was released. And everyone else seems to be pretty much inline with what Apple are charging. And remember, it isn't about what you think it is worth, it is about what the consumer will pay ;)

Don't think she'd let me go up to £370 tbh. Sub £200 is my range really. As long as I can play footy manager at the back of the class and the battery lasts all day with a (is it capacative) touch screen I'm set. Obviously needs USB and wifi etc.

I think when it was released here the top model was £800? I'm sorry but I don't care what existing things they undercut, because for the hardware you're getting that is a disgusting price.

However you're quite right. It's about what the customer will pay. Everything Apple sell is overpriced and yet they're a market leader in so many fields. People are idiots.

I look at the bottom model, which was $500 here when released They were undercutting Windows tablets by as $300-1000. That is big.

We have a refurb Wifi only 16Gb first gen iPad and it is great. They go for $300 nowadays refurb and they are well worth the money for on the go computing. We don't need one with 3G as work provide me with an aircard and router, so I can setup a hotspot anywhere I go.

Naturally the UK gets shafted with conversions so I'm sure the prices weren't as bad there.

But quite frankly their profit margins would have been through the roof, mate. I don't care what prices were before the iPad because for what you're getting they were still overpriced. And naturally prices fall but they still are. The top model here now is still over £650 and it's only got a 64GB hard drive.

Nah mate, you get 64Gb of fast flash memory. Big difference between a hard drive and Flash memory.

I have a tendency to say "hard drive" in place of any kind of memory, haha.

But you're missing my point mate. For that kind of money you can get really high spec laptops. 64GB of storage space is feck all for a piece of tech in that price range.
