Maybe this is a double bluff. Maybe we've never actually been in for Yarmolenko at all, we've just been lulling Shakhtar into a false sense of security before bidding £5m for Bernard (spread over 3 years).

I feel we're just trying to say to their chairman we have other targets to not get bullied by them in negotiations.

Hasn't he openly stated he isn't arsed about money and is more than happy for him to remain at Kyiv for another year ?

If it is them making false quotes then fair enough but i'd doubt they'd do that just for popcorning.

Its absolutely impossible to be excited about any rumour until they are holding the shirt - even the argie and the Uruguayan - i have an element of doubt they will even happen, and am not exactly windmilling at the thought of them.
