His challenge doesnt even do anything, just knocks him off balance like he obviously intended.

Most important thing is Gomes gets better soon and fully.

Son has shown obviously that he's gutted and distraught. He'll serve a 3 games ban.

The break is from Auriers tackle.

Anyway, none of this matters, get well soon Andre.

Pretty sure the break came from Son's tackle and him losing balance and his foot getting caught in the grass. Think the tackle was shocking like and he went to take him out from what happened a minute before. He was nowhere near the ball and never getting it. Whether it was a red though is debatable.

I just don’t see someone from the club leaking it, either way it was going to be a bad one and I hope he makes a full recovery

....I really don’t want to see replays or pictures, but for me there was anger in the challenge because it was retribution. The anger manifested itself with acceleration and no attempt to win the ball. I’m in no doubt he didn’t mean to injure Gomes, but he wanted to foul him.

You wouldn’t be saying it’s a red if there was no injury! He contributed to it but in no way was that a red card.

nah it’s from Aurier, son takes his balance away then he lands awkwardly before the second coming together

in today’s game Sons tackle is a red, but it’s nowhere near a tackle that would cause a break like that

Its clearly not. The fella on that picture has blue shorts on for a start. And why would some random fella in jeans and tshirt be holding his foot.

If you fly in like that and break someone's ankle you deserve a red. End of story.

He obviously didn't mean to cause a horrendous injury. But his carelessness caused it. He deserves his 3 games. I won't be defending him.

I thought it was more of a heavy trip than a full blooded flying in tackle.
