Yes but fans can turn in an instant. I bet if ypu go through his social.media after Spurs games a few will have slaughtered him. If he reads that and it starts affecting him then it wont help anyone.

The hope with Gomes is that with a tackler and someone to run the hard yards next to him, he can come good next season. Until then, no point in him starting games.
