100%. He was poor tonight he looked off the pace. But playing him and Morgan is like playing two statues, too similar Gomes is just better on the ball. Delph or Davies has to play for the legs next to him and Iwobi needs to start too.

Well sure tbh. But he was pretty terrible last year for a strong amount of time where he wasn't just ineffective, he was anonymous at best.

On TV the shots of his face suggested he knew just how bad a game he was having. I'm glad he kept his head and didn't get sent off, given how frustrated he looked, and I trust he'll be back to a better state of composure next time.

Agree he looks physically off since he had a knock against Palace. Then again the entire team looks off the pace our preasesons aren't intense enough.

If he was good as this forum thinks he is then he wouldn't be playing for us. He can develop into that player but right now, he doesn't reach the levels he is capable of enough.

So nah, they're not similar James. Not at all.

Gomes was really poor last night. Probably the worst on the pitch.

Playing with Schneiderlin must be horrible though. All he does is look to give the ball to the nearest player so everything is on Gomes to spread the play and move it forward.
