Without siggy he's almost asked to be the playmaker, which he's not. In the same way 5-2-3 negates siggy, it negates gomes too.

Can't expect the same players to be the best player every week.

If Gomes doesn't fire offensively then we are in trouble because his midfield partner certainly isn't going to offer anything. Bar starting counter attacks for the opposition.

First couple he was absolutely quality for about 6 or 7 games on the bounce.

For a player coming back from the injuries/mental issues he’s had, he’s gonna have dips in form. It’s important that we sign him - he’s a diamond.
