Yeah been a long week for us all. Regarding your point about the youth teams, I think there’s a reasonable amount of talent coming through. But those who could’ve helped immediately up front / out wide (Dobbin, Cannon) are out on loan. Mills is the obvious guy to step up.

I like the look of Okoronkwo and Sherif is scoring goals but he’s only 16, although he looks like a bit of a unit already. Names for the future but not now. With only Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Maupay and Simms for centre forward I think if there are injuries we’re looking at first teamers out of position before someone coming from the academy.

Joe Royle was only 16 when he played for the first team…if you’re good enough you are old enough….
