I would say he will be playing for a future in the Premier league rather than at Barca. And if he doesn’t adapt then Everton have lost nothing, a great position to be in.

Very happy with this signing.

Seems determined to make the most of his move, as well.

He's definitely a good player. Will instantly add that 'playmaker' to the midfield that we've been crying out for.

Gyfli isn't a player that can run a game, whereas Gomes - on his day - definitely can.

I think a midfield three of Gomes-Gana-Gylfi has a good balance.

The main crux is if he can overcome this injury and get fully fit. Hopefully, by the middle of September, he'll be able to do that.

Have to admit I don't know much about him, but you generally (I know there are exceptions) don't earn a move to Barcalona and play 70 times in two seasons if you're crap. Plus he apparantly has something we miss in midfield with quick feet and quick decision making, as well as a positive attitude to play forwards instead of backwards as we've become accustomed to under Koeman and Allardyce. I hope his loan is a success and we have the option to purchase him at the end of the season.
