American Food

How about bacon pancakes with maple syrup?

Not on the same plate (for me).

I love "our" bacon in a sandwich. Proper meaty stuff. Nice and thick. Not much fat or rind at all for me.

I also like pancakes and syrup every now and then - but never on the same plate as bacon!

No, it isn't sweet. I'd say it's more of a difference in density. American bread tends to be lighter, fluffier than the bread I've had in Germany, Poland, etc.
have you tasted that dark rye bread they have in baltics/scandinavia ?? that's very dense, sort of salty too

@Dell Boy - I had this last year in NYC, can still taste it now...

Just look at it ffs, superb. I could have cried eating it it was so good. Jug of maple syrup too, haha! Literally only had about a quarter of the syrup, but absolutely wolfed down the rest of the dish.
maple syrup is soooooo good

far better than that golden stuff we have that's just pure sugar

@butters - but how can you eat that "bacon" when it's half fat?!?

I don't know here lad - bacon and maply syrup?!

That sounds like bringing two girls home only to find one is packing a cheeky six-incher...

Haha!

It's crispy so it's all good. Be even better with English bacon, but it was still to die for!
