T LEAFE

Player Valuation: £50m
Just reading about Jaydon Sancho getting a new contract at £190,000 a week.
He is 19.
My daughter is 25 and works for the NHS as a neo natal nurse on a kids intensive ward. She qualified at uni with a first class degree. She works a 13 hour shift. She is paid £25,000 a year.
I’m not blaming Jaydon nor am I jealous.
But something is not right.
It’s why I am falling out of love with professional football

If you have a daughter who is 25 then you are almost the same age as me.

You are defo old enough to know that in life, people never get what they deserve.

People get accused of being grumpy as they get older, I think thats cos the more you learn of the world, the more you realise just what an utter cesspit it is.

Of course we would all like nurses and such to earn more but unfortunately we get the going rate for whatever work we do, that is the way the system works.

Footballers wages are obscene but it's in vogue at the moment, however I firmly believe as with the economy a few years ago , the bubble will eventually burst, we are seeing the likes of Bury and Bolton in dire financial trouble at the moment and it's not so long ago that Bolton were in the Premiership. I've no doubt at all there are a few others struggling at the moment.

Whilst I would obviously think nurses deserve more as the most fairer issue I just think the difference in the two given what both occupations do is unbelievably obscene

You’re older than I realised. @Connor is younger than I realised. Turns out I cannot in fact see the Matrix.

If you really valued me, you would have seen my age on my profile a long time ago homie.

How old did you think I was??

I had you down for 35ish and now I feel like my world is about to be torn apart

Not arguing with that, but that's life mate, like it or lump it.
Very true
But as far as football is concerned it makes me sad/annoyed to see premiership footballers today earning so much relative to others.I accept that they are doing their job and why not take advantage of the lifestyle. Fair enough.
Maybe I am bitter and you are right it is life.
But it’s a bloody joke

Jaydon Sanchez works in the entertainment industry, so does Johnny Depp. He earns 35 million a year. Ed Sheeran made 38 million last year. The ceo of Barclays made about 8 mil last year. Nurses have never made any money. If you don't know this then yes, you are out of touch.
Oh god what a great post

Steve Walsh would have offered him double that.
