Not the most impressive to be honest.

3.2 ghz/512 ram/celeron...

Does its job for time being though.

Not to keen on Vista and widescreen monitor though,

Well, you really need at least 1 Gig of RAM to run Vista well. Widescreen monitors are the future young Daniel-san.

Yeah so I have been told.

Looks like will have to get some more ram. Do I just buy it and slot it in the ram space and thats it/

Download this Cpu-z Hardware monitor and use it to tell you what motherboard you have (Under Mainboard then Manufacturer and model). Then click the SPD tab and look to see how many slots you have and how many are filled, then we can see if we can sort you out with some RAM.

Cheers. How do you know that is sound for mine?

When it comes to computer hardware am useless.

So if I buy that, all I have to do is take out the current ram and replace it, an thats it?

And by replace I mean just open it up, take the slot out and put the new slots in. I assume thats how its done? no installation files ran or anything?

I know it will work because I am brill. Your motherboard specs show it will take RAM up to a speed of PC5300 (basically the PC5300 is the branding for the speed it runs at) and the RAM I linked is PC5300. The motherboard will support 4 1 gig sticks. This is only 2 1 gig sticks. And yes, all you have to do is pull the old stuff out and put this in, no software to run.

If you go to the SPD tab in CPU-Z it should tell you the type of RAM you have installed right now, so we can tell if you will still be able to use it as RAM or paperweights.

SPD

Slot #1 DDR2

Module Size: 512 bytes
Max Bandwidth: PC2-4300 (266MHZ)
Manufacturer: Crucial Technology
Part Number: RM6464AA53E.8FB

Any use?

Yeah, that won't be any use to you if you buy the stuff I linked. It is slower than the Corsair stuff. Just buy the new stuff and toss that 512Mb in the e-recycle bin, or sell it for (really) cheap!
