Proper random bit of digging and may not tell us much but...

On 19/02/2017, Allan was forced off with a groin strain for Napoli:

He missed the next couple of games but was on the bench for their game against Roma on 04/03/17 (13 days later) and then started the game after that on 07/03/17.

The derby is 17 days away.
Top detective work amigo

The priority is the derby, not taking meaningless PL points.
By Daveks logic. He'd rather we beat Liverpool and lost every other game?

I'd rather we won every other game even if it meant we never beat Liverpool again.

I'd take 10-0 loses at home and away against them if it meant we won the league or even just got top four.

It's that mentality that they take the piss out of us for. The Derby is our cup final..?? No. I don't give a toss about them.

Do you choose...

A: A league and cup double

OR

B: Beat Liverpool home and away

OR

C: Both

Dave chose B...let that sink in lol

We do need Allan for the Derby though, hes right about that.

OK, we've given Davek enough attention with his bizzare rants of meaningless PL points and derby cup finals, ironically the reward of winning said final will be 3 meaningless PL points.

Back onto Allan.

I don't think Delph did too bad and can be decent backup, provided Doucoure plays alongside him. Allan won't be playing against Brighton, and hopefully not going on International duty will be a blessing in itself.

Games before the derby that can wreck our chances in it are an obstacle to be avoided as best we can. That LC match last night underlines it.

Fair point, probably worth playing the kids on Saturday, win the Derby and leave everyone at home til the return in February.
