Interesting to consider that when Arsenal vs Chelsea kick off, they will probably be 3rd and 4th in the table...Liverpool being 1st and Man City 2nd (on GD)...fascinating League this year

FROM NOW TILL NEW YEARS DAY:

Arsenal v Chelsea - Swansea v Everton
Man City v Liverpool - Everton v Sunderland
Chelsea v Liverpool - Everton v southampton
Man U v Spurs - Stoke v Everton

Table
Arsenal 16 35
Liverpool 16 33
Chelsea 16 33
Man City 16 32
Everton 16 31
Newcastle 16 27
Spurs 16 27
Man Utd 16 25

With these fixtures in mind where do my fellow GrandOldTeamers see us in the table on new years day?

one game at a time?

not possible to get 8 from 3 games. I am suspecting a D,W,D 5 points...but think we'll get 3 away to Stoke on News Year Day (game 20)

I'm thinking two wins and a draw based on form. Not sure there the draw comes, but we're not going to win every game against teams lower than us. I wish we would but it just isn't going to happen.

Why do people think Swansea is easy 3pts.

I don't think anyone believes Swansea is an "easy game".

What it is though, is a very winnable game. Swansea were dreadful in their last home game against Hull and they struggled to take a point at Norwich last weekend.

We don't want to be taking them lightly but we do need to believe that after going to OT and winning then Arsenal and draw then a victory ar Swansea is a real good possibility.

Every game we play until we go to the pit at the end of January is definitely winnable, and we will probably go into each of games as the favourite. That doesn't of course mean we will win them, but on a game by game basis, none of them should have us going into the game thinking a point would be a good result.
When you look at them as a whole though - are we going to win our next 6 games in a row? Unlikely.

What I am really looking forward to is the title showdown against City in May (y)

This is, of course, correct and sensible. It is unlikely we will win our next 6 in a row. Here's the thing though. I can't stop thinking about what if we do?

Why did we give Southampton the chance to extend the game by a day? We are at home the game before and they have to travel, that then gives us more recovery time for an away trip to Stoke.
Also, thought I'd go for 10 points as no one else has. Oh and RS will probably beat Chelsea away. They're a better team without Stevie Me, he goes against their style yet has to play.

yes mate, am shifting to your prediction after seeing Swansea's injury list (Rangel and Dyer). Initially thought this game might be a draw but have changed my stance to a win
